Brisbane Strikers’ Scot Coulson will put the disappointment of Sunday’s Grand Final defeat behind him as he prepares to take on the might of Brisbane Roar this weekend.

The PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Under 23 All-Stars will face the three-time Hyundai A-League Champions this Saturday at QSAC in a curtain raiser to the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series clash between Moreton Bay United and Edgeworth Eagles.

The 20 year-old winger-fullback delivered the ball to tee-up the Strikers' sole goal in their 2-1 PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Grand Final defeat against Moreton Bay on Sunday.

Asked his thoughts on being the Strikers’ sole selection in the All-Stars team, he was adamant that it was as much as result of his teammates' toil as it was his own performances.

“I’m privileged to be able to do it, but it’s one of those things that you’d never be able to achieve without the other boys in your team,” Coulson said.

“The contribution of myself to the team only comes with the players I have around me.”

“It’s hard to comment on being selected in such a team when you know the only reason that you’re there in the first place is because of the other boys on the field who are working their socks off.”

Despite seeking to temper the achievement, Coulson has been a statistical stand-out for Strikers since the start of PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland in 2013.

In the past three seasons he has amassed 60 appearances for the club - the second most for a Strikers player in the competition.

He has also struck 13 goals to stand fourth in Strikers' all-time PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland goal scoring charts.

Coulson said he aware of the opportunities that impressing against the star-studded Roar could bring his still-blossoming career.

“Obviously you are showcasing against three-time champions so it’s a good opportunity to showcase what you’ve got and to play against the level that a lot of players in this team (Brisbane Strikers) will seek to be at.”

He added that he was looking forward to working under FNQ Heat coach Martin Docherty in the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Under 23 All-Stars set-up.

“From my experience, he’s a good coach. He’s a fantastic motivator and he has a good understanding of the game, so I’m very excited.”

“It will be a different sort of situation, a different experience but I’m up for that,” Coulson concluded.
