Brisbane City delivered a club record PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland win on Saturday night, dismantling SWQ Thunder 9-0 at Corporate Travel Management Stadium.

Koh Satake struck his maiden PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland hat-trick in the second-half to complement a brace to Antonio Murray and further goals to Mat Biggins, Ryan Roderick, Kai Smith and Nicholas Buckley.

The result marks a fourth win in their past five outings for City and marks the club's first clean sheet of the 2015 campaign.

It also betters their previous record win of 7-1 against CQFC Energy in the competition’s inaugural season - also recorded at home.

City dominated the contest from the outset and fashioned several chances to open accounts in the first 15 minutes with Smith and Buckley both coming close.

The hosts were forced to wait until ten minutes remaining in the half before Biggins combined sharply with Murray, enabling the striker to open the scoring.

Murray then returned the favour for his fellow Englishman only three minutes later in a near carbon copy to ensure a two goal advantage at the half.

With new coaching appointment John Kosmina watching on, the hosts then delivered a seven goal second-half barrage.

Satake netted his first of the evening shortly after the restart - the ball sneaking in at the far post just ahead of the lurking Murray.

The points were then effectively sealed just prior to the hour when an industrious run from Pazung Thang delivered a cut-back to Satake, who delivered a neatly placed, side-footed finish.

Six minutes later, Murray rounded out his haul - and lifted his season’s tally to 16 goals - by turning home a well-placed cross from Buckley.

Substitute Ryan Roderick then added his name to the score sheet just minutes after entering the fray with a composed finish from Satake’s cutback.

Murray turned provider again with a quarter hour remaining - picking out a run from defender Kai Smith, who beat Thunder goalkeeper Jayden Formosa one-on-one for his fourth goal of the season.

Buckley capped off an industrious performance with a headed finish on 85 minutes for  his second goal in as many weeks; before Satake capped off his performance, and secured his hat-trick, with a tap-in in the final minutes.

Speaking post-match, City coach Darron Heselden said it was particularly pleasing to see the scoring spread between six different goalscorers.

“We’ve really worked hard and it’s good to see everyone sharing the limelight and getting on the scoresheet,” Heselden said.

Thunder coach Chris Wilkes conceded his side were second best through-out the contest.

“Unfortunately tonight was just one of those games where not a lot went for us and they banged a few goals in,” Wilkes said.
