Redlands United captain James Donnelly says his team have the discipline required to notch four straight wins across all competitions when they host Brisbane Roar Youth tonight.

Following a sluggish start to the 2015 campaign the Red Devils have delivered a dramatic form reversal in recent weeks that commenced when they knocked Olympic FC out of the Westfield FFA Cup.

Since then the bayside club has recorded league wins at home against Brisbane City and away to FNQ Heat.

Donnelly said with key players returned and back to full fitness, things were finally turning away for Redlands and confidence in the squad is sky-high.

“We were unlucky not to have a few results go our way at the start of the season as we were playing well,” the central defender explained.

“A few experienced players come back from injury now and we’ve started a bit of a run with three good results which has built confidence in the boys.”

Redlands have form against Young Roar - winning both matches against the club in 2014 - however Donnelly added tonight’s match will prove a real contest.

“We had two good wins over them last year but they were both really tough games for the team.”

“I was injured for the first game but I remember that the Roar enjoyed a lot of possession in the second game despite the score line, so we can’t slack off for a second,” said Donnelly.

“If we want to win tonight the boys need to stayed focused and do their job on the field. The key for us will be playing the game on our terms and being proactive in controlling game possession,” he concluded.
