Dobson Resigns From Roar

Words: Brisbane Roar FC

Brisbane Roar Managing Director Sean Dobson has resigned from the club, effective immediately.

Club chairman Chris Fong said the FFA had been informed of Dobson's resignation. He said the search for a new managing director would begin immediately.

In the meantime, Fong will oversee the day-to-day running of the club in conjunction with other club executives. He said a temporary appointment could be made next week.

Dobson had been with the club since 2011, starting as chief financial officer before becoming managing director three years ago.

He was a finalist for the Queensland Sports Awards’ Administrator of the Year award in 2014 following the club’s outstanding achievements on and off the field in clinching the Hyundai A-League Championship and Premiers’ Plate double in the 2014/15 season.
