Abraham Yango and Luke Pavlou became the latest PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland players to taste top tier football after making their Hyundai A-League debuts for Brisbane Roar on Saturday night.

The duo both entered the fray as substitutes in the second half for Roar as the defending Hyundai A-League Champions fell 1-0 to league-leaders Melbourne Victory at Suncorp Stadium.

Yango, 18, has played for Young Roar in the past two PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland campaigns, and previously represented Queensland Academy of Sport in 2013 - scoring six times in senior competition and a further 18 goals in the Youth Men’s division in that time.

Pavlou, also 18, made 19 appearances for Young Roar last season and backed up his first Hyundai A-League match against FNQ FC Heat on Sunday at Perry Park.

The pair of debuts follows fellow Young Roar player Lachlan Jackson’s first Hyundai A-League appearance against Victory on Wednesday night.

Speaking post-match, Roar coach Frans Thijssen said he was impressed by the club’s production line of technically adept youngsters.

“You see there are a lot of guys from our Academy coming through and seeing what they did today is good to see for a coach,” he said.

"It is a good sign that we have a lot of talented players behind the (regular playing) group and they showed today they can do a good job in the future,” he concluded.

Other Young Roar PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland products to play Hyundai A-League include Brandon Borello, Shannon Brady, Devante Clut and Jai Ingham.

Other PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland clubs have also delivered players to Australia’s top flight including Joshua Brindell-South (formerly Moreton Bay United), Braedyn Crowley (formerly Northern Fury) and Ross Archibald (formerly Olympic FC).
