Moreton Bay United winger Jackson Hall is itching to take on former side Brisbane Strikers when the teams meet in a top-two clash on Sunday.

Hall scored four goals in 20 appearances at Perry Park last season before following then-Strikers youth coach Adam Piddick to Jets, who have notched four wins from four in 2015.

The 20-year-old is excited to get one over his former teammates.

“I’m definitely looking forward to the game,” Hall said.

“I didn’t leave on bad terms or anything but I’m still close with all of the boys so obviously there is a bit of banter. I can’t wait to get out there and see how we go.”

Hall is one of several ex-Strikers now plying their trade at Wolter Park, including Alex Henderson, Liam Previtera and former National Soccer League striker Royce Brownlie.

The Windaroo product expects the player crossover to enhance an already blockbuster contest.

“All the boys are definitely up for it,” he said.

“It’s a massive game for both teams and I think that just adds to it.

“I’d love to score one against the old club.”

Hall, who attributes Jets’ excellent early results to hard work in training, believes Sunday’s fixture could see one side lay a marker in the premiership race.

“I think it will. It’s still early stages obviously so it’s a bit early to say who is favourites but it’s a good chance to see where we’re at exactly,” the attacker said.

“I actually went to watch them (Strikers) play last Saturday night and it’s quite similar to how we played last year.

“They’re a good side.”

Kick off between Brisbane Strikers and Moreton Bay United at Perry Park is at 4.30pm.
