Mitch Hore set a PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland record on Saturday, scoring six goals in Brisbane Roar Youth’s 12-0 demolition of a nine-man Western Pride at Perry Park.

Hore’s haul - the most scored by a player in a single PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland match - was complemented by further goals to Patrick Theodore, Jesse Daley, Abraham Yango, Connor O’Neill and Shannon Brady as Young Roar cruised to their first three points of the 2015 campaign.

Pride pair Gabriel Hawash and Jesse Rigby were both dismissed in the first half for the visitors on an afternoon they would care to forget.

Western Pride dominated possession in the opening 10 minutes but Young Roar fashioned the first chance of the game when Brady failed to find the target from Yango’s cutback.

On the quarter hour Ben Litfin, who dominated the contest and played a key role in five of Young Roar’s goals, saw his looping shot bounce back off the post allowing Hore to pounce on the rebound to open the scoring.

In the 23rd minute Brady weaved his way into the box but was denied a penalty despite a heavy tackle from behind.

However, Brady got his revenge barely a minute later by delivering a cross-field ball for left-winger Theodore, who drove his low shot past Scott to double the advantage.

Pride were reduced to 10 men in the 26th minute after Hawash, who was earlier cautioned for dissent, was involved in a hefty midfield tackle on Daley.

Young Roar went three ahead on the half hour as Hore again benefitted from another Litfin goal attempt that bounced back off the woodwork - a remarkable mirror of his opening strike.

Hore secured his hat-trick only minutes later, left unmarked by the depleted Pride defence and driving home the finish.

Hore added his fourth - and Roar’s fifth - after finishing some clever passing between Litfin and Yango with five minutes remaining in the half.

Two minutes later referee Michael Bozhoff showed the red again, reducing the visitors to nine men after Pride captain Jesse Rigby downed Yango in a goal-scoring position - Daley sending Scott the wrong way to convert the subsequent penalty.

Yango added his side's seventh just before half-time by zig-zagging through the Pride defence before burying his shot.

Pride made three substitutions at the break and set up a defensive diamond, but Young Roar took barely three minutes to add to their tally.

Litfin was at the centre of things again and dummied a shot before playing through Hore to net his fifth from close range.

In the 58th minute Pride defender Ashain Fetahagic handled a cross, earning Young Roar another penalty. Hore easily converted for his sixth goal of the match before receiving a strong round of applause from the home crowd as he was substituted.

Another penalty took Young Roar into double digits on 69 minutes when O’Neill was felled in the box before sending Scott the wrong way with the ensuing penalty.

O'Neill burst down the left and craftily chipped Scott for his brace, before Young Roar rounded out the rout when Brady buried a late penalty following a handball by Fetahagic.

Speaking after the match Pride coach Karl Dodd said the two dismissals had put paid to the match as a contest.

"I don't really care about the result. After two red cards so early in the game, the result does't matter - the game is over and done with," Dodd stated.

Young Roar coach John Sime was full of praise for the performance of his team and the contributions of Hore and Litfin in particular.

"Most of our team has had a long NYL season and it's been refreshing to come into the NPL. We've only played a couple of games, but you can see this means a lot to our club," Sime said.
