PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland Men’s teams continued their pre-season preparations with a series of matches in the south-east corner of the state on Saturday.

Redlands United, Brisbane Strikers and Moreton Bay United FC all recorded wins only two weeks out from the start of the season.

On the bayside, Redlands defeated Football Brisbane Capital One outfit Holland Park Hawks 1-0 at Cleveland Showgrounds.

Ryan Cokell delivered the match-winner in the final ten minutes for the Red Devils, striking home from distance.

At the northern edge of the bay, Moreton Bay United defeated Sunshine Coast FC 7-3 in their third place play-off in the Macron Cup pre-season tournament at AJ Kelly Park in Redcliffe.

Jets striker Royce Brownlie netted a hat-trick, while Charles Mendy and Jordan Farina each scored a double.

Kaine Frew and Cameron Dalzell scored a goal in each half for Fire, while an own goal rounded out the scoring.

In Logan, Strikers accounted for Football Brisbane Trophy Superstore Premier League side Capalaba FC 2-1 at Meakin Park in Logan.

Luke Marsh opened accounts for Strikers before Josh McVey scored the match winner midway through the second half.

On the Gold Coast, defending PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Champions Palm Beach SC defeated Football Brisbane Trophy Superstore Premier League heavyweights Lions FC 1-0 at Mallawa Complex.

Ethan Grimley struck the decisive goal with 15 minutes remaining in the match, which saw Kristian Rees take the field for the first time this pre-season for Sharks.
