Greta Bodey’s second goal in as many games has helped UQFC Women to a 2-1 pre-season win over Eastern Suburbs Women at Heath Park on Saturday night.

Bodey struck late in the match to seal UQFC’s second straight victory over PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland opposition following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat of Olympic FC Women.

Linley Archard provided the perfect start for the visitors by scoring the opener in just the 15th minute.

Easts hit back soon after though with Westfield W-League winner Tegan Riding levelling matters in the 29th minute, adding to her hattrick earlier in pre-season.

Amy Chapman, capped 20 times by the Westfield Matildas, again laced up for UQFC but was unable to find the scoresheet as the match entered the final 15 minutes.

Bodey needed no further invitation, however, as the defender popped up to continue her scoring run and seal the 2-1 victory.

UQFC will look to continue their winning form when they host Moreton Bay United Women in the competition’s opening round on Sunday, 15 February, while Easts open their campaign with a trip to Palm Beach SC Women on Saturday, 14 February.

Eastern Suburbs FC Women 1 (Tegan RIDING 29')
University of Queensland FC Women 2 (Linley ARCHARD 15', Greta BODEY 76')
