The playing future of PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland 2013 MVP Tim Smits remains up in the air after reports he had signed with Peninsula Power proved premature.

Sources at both Power and Olympic confirmed earlier this week that Smits had signed with the Brisbane Premier League side for the 2015 season, however it has since been revealed they may have jumped the gun.

Instead, it is now believed Olympic FC’s all-time leading PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland goalscorer has yet to officially commit to any club for 2015.

Asked if the 28-year-old striker might yet return to Olympic, head coach Jim Bellas confirmed he had been in contact with Smits since the original article but declined to comment further.

Peninsula Power were also contacted and reconfirmed Smits trained with the club on Tuesday night but that discussions remained ongoing.
