Sharks Draw In Friendly

Palm Beach SC

Words: Michael Flynn

Palm Beach SC’s pre-season preparations continued on Saturday with a nil-all draw against Southside Eagles at Memorial Park in Brisbane.

The hastily scheduled friendly served to further condition the Sharks’ squad as they seek to start the defence of their pre-season Macron Cup title next weekend.

The defending PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland Champions fielded a side composed primarily of triallists, as well as Youth and Under 18’s players against their Football Brisbane Capital League One opposition.

Eoghan Murphy, Ryan Meskell and Jack Boxall were amongst the confirmed members of Sharks 2015 Senior Men’s squad that received valuable minutes.

Sharks coach Grae Piddick also employed himself as a substitute as he sought to rotate his squad in the stifling summer conditions.

Sharks will play their next pre-season match against Sunshine Coast Premier League outfit Maroochydore FC in the Macron Cup at Redcliffe next weekend.
