Palm Beach SC have confirmed Jordan Mason, Daniel Grzic and Ryan Meskell as the club’s latest signings as they look to defend their PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland title in 2015.

The announcement marks a homecoming for goalkeeper Meskell, who made 21 appearances for Sharks in 2013 before stints with Olympic FC and Brisbane Roar Youth last season.

Meskell, 20, will continue to train with Roar through 2015 as part of their stable of prospective goalkeepering talent but will play for Sharks week-in, week-out in next year's PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland competition.

Sharks coach Grae Piddick said Meskell’s return should not be taken as an indication that first choice 2014 goalkeeper Shane Viitakangas would not be re-signed.

Piddick explained the 2014 Safe Hands award winner is currently assessing his options overseas before deciding on his playing future, with rumoured interest from PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria outfits.

“Shane is currently in New Zealand and may decide to live there but there is also some interest from other clubs,” Piddick said.

“He is a real fifty-fifty proposition at this stage and we won’t know for sure what he decides until January. If he does decide to come back then we will definitely be talking with him though.”

Piddick also said he was delighted to resecure the services of Grzic, 19, and Mason, 22, ahead of the club’s title defence.

He said he expected a break-out year for Mason in particular after a difficult start to his PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland career.

“Jordan has had injury problems for the past two years, so he will be like a new signing for us in some ways,” Piddick explained.

“He played a bit off the bench at the end of last season, but he is a starting eleven player when fully fit,” he concluded.
