Moreton Bay United today announced that senior coach Terry Kirkham will be leaving the club at the end of the 2014 NPL Queensland season.

Kirkham was the club’s foundation coach and informed the club of his decision this week.

In a statement released by Moreton Bay United, Vice-President Claude Sorbello said, “We thank Terry for the tremendously hard work and dedication he has put in over the past two years to help launch and then establish our senior sides.”

“We congratulate him on his successes with Jets and wish him well in his future football career.”

Sorbello said the search for a new Senior Coach would start immediately.

Kirkham joined Jets in July 2012 on a two-year contract and guided the team to sixth in the competition’s inaugural 2013 season.

Jets are currently fifth, with four games remaining, just one place and one point outside the finals places.

It is understood that Kirkham has accepted the role of Head Coach at community club Peninsula Power for next season in the Brisbane Premier League.
