Jets To Face Roar In Free Friendly
NPL Queensland high-flyers Moreton Bay United will help Brisbane Roar kick-off their pre-season preparations with the clubs set to meet in a friendly at Ballymore next week.
The match will serve as preparation prior to a busy August for defending A-League Champions, which sees Roar travel to Perth for their inaugural Westfield FFA Cup tie against Stirling Lions.
Roar will then venture north for the Townsville Cup, which will feature Jets’ fellow NPL Queensland club Northern Fury.
Jets have met Roar’s Youth side twice this season in NPL Queensland competition – drawing their first meeting 1-1 in April, before Jets prevailed 5-3 in the rematch at Perry Park last month.
The friendly marks the first time Jets have played Roar's senior side as part of the A-League club's pre-season preparations. Entry to the match is free.
