UQ have become the first side to take points off Peninsula Power with a 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon.

Two moments of brilliance from Georgia Chapman rescued a point for UQ in Sunday’s trip to A.J. Kelly Park.

The Power appeared destined to record their 10th win of the season before Chapman struck twice in three minutes.

In an end-to-end contest, UQ matched the Power throughout the contest with both defences on top of the respective attacks.

The hosts opened up a two-goal buffer at the break with Kelly Jenks poking home shortly after the half-hour mark before an incredible Brooke Barbuto strike doubled the advantage in the shadows of half-time.

UQ had the better chances of the second stanza and were handed a lifeline when Chapman’s long-range strike found the net with a tick under 20 minutes remaining.

The second strike moments later was even more special as Chapman restored parity with a wonder strike from distance.

The result keeps UQ in touch with the top four ahead of next round’s trip to the Gold Coast
