Eastern Suburbs Women strengthened their hold on fourth place with a dominating 6-0 win over Sunshine Coast Women on Sunday afternoon.

Easts came out with a determined press and pinned Fire in their own territory for much of the first half. Georgia Foote secured a brace midway through the opening period when she placed a delightful shot over the keeper.

Fire's woes were summed up by a six-minute period in which they conceded three goals, including an unfortunate richocheted own goal.

Easts are now tied for third place and will look to increase pressure on teams above them when they visit the struggling Brisbane Olympic Women next weekend, while Fire face a challenge trying to rebound next week against SWQ Thunder Women.
