Elizabeth Doherty's second-half double has propelled Brisbane Olympic FC to a 4-0 victory over Western Pride FC at Briggs Road Sporting Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Following a tense opening half, with both teams unable to convert gilt-edged chances, the second belonged to Olympic and Doherty, who posed a constant threat from midfield.

Her two goals tired a stern Pride defence, before Kristi New and Matalena Daniells ensured an Olympic win with two late goals.

Olympic will look to capitalise on their second win in three games when they play Souths United away next weekend, while Pride travel to the Gold Coast.

Key Moments

15' - CHANCE FOR PRIDE - Stephanie White finds space in the area to turn and shoot, but Leah Miles dives to her left to smother the ball.

16' - CHANCE FOR OLYMPIC - Kirsten Veeren parries a long-range effort onto the bar but it then bounces into her back and she's forced to turn and grab the ball as it trickles towards the goal line.

25' - CHANCE FOR OLYMPIC - Ashlee Watkins runs onto a skewed shot by Elizabeth Doherty, but her tap-in is cleared off the line by a retreating Pride defence.

37' - CHANCE FOR OLYMPIC - Georgina Adnum's powerful clearance rebounds off a defender and loops over everyone and just wide of the post.

53' - GOAL FOR OLYMPIC - Doherty receives the ball at the top of the box and calmly slots a low strike into the left corner past a diving Veeren.

71' - GOAL FOR OLYMPIC - Olympic breaks down the right and a low cross finds Doherty who smashes the ball past Veeren.

80' - CHANCE FOR PRIDE - Sophie Lamberton is found by Zozia Sen's cross but her shot flashes across the goal.

88' - GOAL FOR OLYMPIC - Kristi New runs through the Pride defence and into the area to place the ball into the back of the net.
