Peninsula Power Women have continued their perfect start to the season by thumping Gold Coast City Women 7-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The league leaders got off to a great start with Alexandra Schaefer and Kelly Jenks scoring impressive goals, ensuring the Power went into the break with a 2-0 scoreline.

Jenks and Schaefer, along with Brooke Barbuto, would run riot in the second half – Jenks would grab a hat-trick late on, while Schaefer would grab a second just after half-time.

Additional goals for Barbuto and defender Sarah Elnicky would compound Gold Coast’s misery on a day where the Power continued their claim for the league crown.

With a perfect 7 from 7, Peninsula Power host Souths United next weekend looking to maintain their emphatic winning streak.

Gold Coast City, meanwhile, travel to Brisbane Olympic hoping they can rise up the table with a game still in hand.
