A brace from Tegan Riding has secured Eastern Suburbs Women a 2-1 victory against Western Pride Women at Briggs Road Sporting Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Pride struck first in the first half, as Lani McKenna ran onto a through ball and dribbled past the keeper to slot it into the back of the net.

But the second half belonged to Easts and Riding, whose pace and speed on the ball constantly threatened Pride’s defence.

She netted the first of her brace after being played a ball in front of the goal, while Georgina Amos set her up for her second.

Easts look to continue their quick start to the season when they host Gold Coast next weekend, while Pride look to turn things around when they travel to UQ.
