UQ Women have recorded their second win of the PS4 NPLW Queensland season with a 3-0 victory over Olympic FC on Friday night.

Neither side was able to break the deadlock in the first half with the best chance falling to UQ's Mariel Hecher, who called Olympic keeper Katie Ronan into action.

It didn't take long after the break to open the scoring and it was the away side who took the lead from a set piece through Rebekah Horsey.

Six minutes later and the visitors had some breathing space. Ronan saved the original shot but was unable to keep out the follow up from Teagan Lynch.

Olympic's best chance of the match came with 20 minutes to go through Eva Foran on the counterattack, but she could do little more than force a save.

UQ wrapped up the points with five minutes to go through a well-struck volley from Georgia Chapman.

Olympic remain without a point from three matches and now face defending champions The Gap while UQ will take momentum into a home clash with Western Pride.
