Moreton Bay United Technical Director Adam Piddick says his club needs to win their remaining matches if they are to defend their PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Champions title.

Following an up-and-down season, the Jets currently sit seventh on the competition table – four points shy of fourth-placed Brisbane City.

Six clubs remain firmly in the hunt for the top four PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Finals Series, including Jets opponent this weekend, Olympic FC.

Piddick, who guided Jets to their maiden silverware last year as the team's coach, said there is no doubt  every point will count on the run home.

“We need at least four wins and a draw and that still might not be enough,” a candid Piddick said.

“Five wins, I’d say, would get us there, but that's way off that at the moment.”

Piddick suggested that Jets have punched below their weight this season in their quest to become the first Queensland club to defend a PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues title.

“We’re under no illusion that we’re probably not in a position that we want to be or should be,” he explained.

“That fact is we are, because we haven’t been good enough. But there’s still enough time for the playing group to show its potential.”

“I have every belief if they are ready to go and their mindset is right we’ll put on a good performance on Saturday.”

This weekend’s game against Olympic marks the return of former Jets coach Terry Kirkham to Wolter Park in the national second tier - his mid-season appointment sparking a resurgence for the 2013 Champions who have gone from the lower rungs of the table to the fringes of the top four.

“It shows 100 per cent what can happen when you put a run together,” said Piddick of Olympic's turnaround.

“Three wins on the trot is massive in this league at the moment. Not too many teams have been doing that."

"We’ve got to work hard on what we’re going to do, concentrate on the way we want to play and hope it is good enough on Saturday. Everyone’s fit and available so we’ll be going in there with a good squad,” Piddick concluded.

Olympic haven't won at Wolter Park in PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues since their all conquering 2013 season.
