Moreton Bay United equalled their best Westfield FFA Cup run to date with a comfortable 3-1 win over Capalaba FC at Wolter Park.

Jordan Farina scored from the penalty spot to hand the Jets a 1-0 lead at the break before Jacob Fulluck’s second-half double put the result beyond the visitors.

Capalaba did claw back some hope when Scott Stewart’s own goal reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute, but it wasn’t enough for the Flight Centre Premier League side to mount a comeback.

Jets now progress to Preliminary Round 6 as one of eight Brisbane-based clubs still in contention for two Final Rounds places.

What They Said

“We definitely could have put them away in the first-half and then come out in the second-half and kept the momentum going. But we really dug deep to the end and obviously came out winners. I could have had three or four. I missed two – one sitter and one great save by the ‘keeper.” – Jacob Fulluck, Moreton Bay United FC forward.
