Jets Sign Japanese Duo

Moreton Bay United have announced Japanese midfielders Taiga Ishikura and Joi Masuda as the latest additions for their PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues Queensland title defence.
The duo fill the two available visa player spots for Jets as their squad nears completion with 18 confirmed signings announced.
The duo have proved prolific contributors for Jets in a recent run of pre-season matches – with Ishikura netting his first goal for the club in the Macron Cup against Peninsula Power.
Ishikura, 21, played for Brisbane Premier League outfit Ipswich Knights in 2015 and was the club’s top goal scorer with eight goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.
Central midfielder Masuda previously played in university competition in his native Japan with Kokushikan University and impressed Jets Technical Director Adam Piddick immediately upon trialling at the club.
Piddick said he was confident both players will be vital contributors to the club.
“I’d seen Taiga play last year and he has some abilities which match the way we want to go as a football club,” Piddick explained.
“He’s a young player who we see plenty of improvement and potential in.”
“Joi’s obviously new and has impressed in his limited time with us. As we’re trying to build and improve the squad with depth, these two boys will keep everyone on their toes.”
“I’m sure they’ll have a good season this year,” he concluded.
