Redlands United player-coach Graham Fyfe has capped off an outstanding season with recognition as the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Senior Men’s Most Valuable Player.

The accolade is one of two end of season awards for the 32-year-old attacking midfielder, who also claimed the competition’s Golden Boot with a league-best return of 18 goals.

The Most Valuable player award is determined by PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland referees, who allocate a 3-2-1 points system at the conclusion of each senior men’s fixture throughout the regular season.

Fyfe’s Redlands United teammate Brendan White, 23, was also recognised as the competition’s outstanding goalkeeper in 2015 - winning the Safe Hands Award after accumulating a league-best six clean sheets through the home-and-away season.

17-year-old Brisbane Roar Youth striker Nick D’Agostino rounded out the Senior Men’s awards as recipient of the Young Player of the Year honour after accumulating the most MVP points by a player under 20 years of age.

D’Agostino is part of Brisbane Roar’s squad for the forthcoming Foxtel National Youth League competition.

The awards winners will be guests at this Saturday’s Hyundai A-League match between Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United at Suncorp Stadium, where they will receive their awards and also be presented to the crowd prior to kick-off.

Football Queensland Chief Operating Officer Graham Lee congratulated the award winners on their achievements this season.

“These awards are deserved recognition for a group of talented players who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their clubs this year,” said Mr Lee.

“Their achievements demonstrate the depth of talent in Queensland football and the continuing strength of the National Premier Leagues as the national second tier competition.”

“Football Queensland congratulates Graham, Nick and Brendan on their fantastic individual seasons and we sincerely hope their future football journeys will each be equally rewarding,” Mr Lee concluded.
