Aussie Hoops - Term 1 2021

Aussie Hoops will be back in 2021

Covid 19 restrictions made it difficult for us to hold Aussie Hoops in 2020 and we are happy to announce we will be able to get back on Court soon.

We are just working through the final details and planning to have programs up and running starting on Tuesday 23rd February.  There will be 2 time slots, 4:30pm and 5:30pm.  Session times will be 45 minutes in duration.

Registration will not be available until Friday afternoon, 12th February  on the Aussie Hoops website.  Registration will be open to young hoopers aged 5-8 years on a first come, first served basis (Please do not contact the Association asking us to hold a spot for you).

The cost of the program will be available on the Aussie Hoops website at the time of registering.

Due to Covid the number of participants will be limited (approx 20 participants per time slot) and we expect they will fill fast.

Things will look a little different due to Covid so please be prepared to follow the rules we will have in place to get us back on court.

Some key points will be:

  • 1 parent/guardian per child must be present.  No dropping off and picking up.  Families may choose to share this responsibility with other families.  ie. I'll take your child with mine while you look after brothers and sisters.
  • NO SIBLINGS.  You will not be able to bring brothers and sisters to watch while children are on court.  Please don't put us in a position where we need to refuse entry to the facility because you have additional children with you.  We know this can be difficult to juggle but it is the rule we need to abide by.
  • You must not arrive any earlier than 10 minutes before we are due to commence (e.g. 4:20 for a 4:30 start).  You will not be able to enter the facility early.
  • When the program is finished you must exit the facility via the nominated exit immediately.
  • Spectators must maintain social distance at all times
  • All spectators must scan in before entering the facility using the NSW Government QR code located at multiple locations at the front of the facility.  Child participants will be ticked off on the participant list.
  • All people including participants in the program must hand sanitise when entering the facility.

We are excited to get our youngest basketballers back on court and see their smiling faces.

We will provide further updates and information over the next couple of weeks.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
