The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of 6’8 US star import Quintin Dove for the 2023 NBL1 West season.

From Cleveland Ohio, Quintin Dove is an athletic, elite level scorer from division 1 NCAA college team the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks, playing against the likes of NBA superstar Ja Morant. During his senior year in 2020, Quintin averaged an astounding 20.2 points and 8 rebounds a game on 56.5% shooting over 29 games, being named to the First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference.

After a successful senior year, Quintin began his professional career playing in Georgia’s premiere basketball league, the Georgian Superliga for club TSU Tbilisi where Quintin was a standout talent averaging 17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds in his first year with the club. Most recently, Quintin played in the national Uruguay league for club Olimpia, scoring 16 points a game on an exceptional 58% shooting. Quintin combines great basketball talent, size and IQ which we look forward to seeing on the court this NBL1 season!

This is what Quintin had to say about his signing:

“It’s an honour to be a part of the Wolfpack for the 2023 season! The Wolves are a professional club that is heavily invested in creating a winning environment, from the coaching staff, to players, and the facilities. I’m excited for a good year and to get to work with the team.”

This is what Head Coach David Morrell had to say about Quintin’s signing:

“Quintin is a perfect addition for us with his size and versatility. He’s proven himself as a winner and a scorer everywhere he’s been in his career. He’s probably best at the PF spot but he’s played the 5, he’s played the 4, and the 3. He’s a matchup problem - if you guard him with a bigger player, he’s quick, can drive past them and he can really shoot it. If you are going to guard him with smaller, quicker players, he’s too big and long and will score on you inside, get offensive rebounds, and drive on you and finish over you. Wolfpack fans are going to like Quintin, he’ll be fun to watch!”

Quintin joins teammates CJ Turnage, Jonathan Wade, Bryan Michaels, Gabe Chadinha, Brody England, Jordan Wellsteed, Ben Geel, Archie Hall, Jermaine Malie, Eddie Maslic, Luca O’Brien and Ioannis Dimakolopoulos for the 2023 NBL1 season.
