WOLVES SIGN MAKINDE LONDON

The Chambers Franklyn Joondalup City Wolves are thrilled to announce the signing of 6’10 American import Makinde London to the 2020 Men’s roster.

The Xavier University and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga alumni joins the Wolfpack after international professional stints in Italy and Hungary.

From Nashville, Tennessee, London was ranked in the top 100 Nationally of all high school athletes before playing his first two college seasons at Xavier University. He then transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he flourished with more responsibility and playing time averaging nearly 14 PPG and 7 RPG at an impressive 56% from the field in his final year.

After a successful college career, London declared for the NBA draft and was later picked up by the Golden State Warriors G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. London then made is mark on the international scene signing with L.B Legnano Knights in Italy where he averaged 14 PPG and 6 RPG.

Men’s Head Coach Andrew Summerville and the clubs List Management Group worked tirelessly to find the right player to fit the teams needs and are confident Makinde will complement our Australian talent.

“We are excited to have Makinde join the Wolfpack. He is going to be extremely difficult for teams to guard this year. At 6’10 he can shoot the 3, put the ball on the floor, finish around the rim and defend multiple positions. His length and athleticism will trouble teams” Summerville said.
