GEELONG RANGERS will face second placed BARWON in the Geelong Region Women’s Division 1 Match of the Round at Myers Reserve on Saturday afternoon. The highly anticipated Round 10 showdown could either see league leaders Rangers open up a commanding seven point lead at the top of the standings or Barwon close the gap between the two to just one point.

Last week, Barwon drew 1-1 with local rivals Deakin Ducks while Geelong Rangers easily defeated last season’s minor premiers Drysdale 21-1 in Drysdale. As such, it will most likely be a tough game for the visiting Barwon to overcome the rampaging Rangers.

Over at the Bell Park Sports Club in Batesford, BELL PARK will host strugglers KARDINIA COLLEGE. Currently Bell Park is in 4th spot with 11 points, while Kardinia is propping up the competition in last position on the table with 3 points.

Last round Bell Park got back to winning ways, defeated Surf Coast 5-3, while Kardinia was forced to sit out with a Bye. The game will kick off at 1pm, with the big Men’s State League 4 derby between Bell Park and Surf Coast kicking off at 3pm

SURF COAST will travel to the Drysdale Sporting Precinct to tackle DRYSDALE SC. Surf Coast will go into Saturday’s clash on the back of a defeat at the hands of Bell Park, while Drysdale will need to come back strongly after they too were defeated by Rangers last round.

Currently Drysdale is in 5th position on the table with 10 points while Surf Coast is 5 points behind in 6th position.

DEAKIN DUCKS have the bye.
