NEWS: Rangers to host 2018 Grand Finals Series at its Myers Reserve complex
FOOTBALL Federation Victoria's Competitions' Department today announced that Myers Reserve in Bell Post Hill - the home ground of the Geelong Rangers SC - will be the host venue for this year's Geelong Region Grand Finals' weekend on the 15th and 16th of September.
"At this stage of the season we would firstly like to thank and congratulate all clubs for their hard work week in and week out to allow the competitions to run as they have to date," the FFV Comps' Departement said in an official statement earlier today.
"We now begin the anticipation toward the penultimate part of our season in not only awarding the championships of each respective league, but also acknowledging the dedication shown by clubs/ teams/ players in reaching the FFV Geelong Finals Series.
"FFV sent out communication regarding the process to host the FFV Geelong Finals Series at the end of June.
"We have are now excited to announce that we have since confirmed the host club and venue for our Grand Finals Series which will be held at the single venue over both Saturday the 15th & Sunday the 16th of September.
"Please be advised that Geelong Rangers SC have been confirmed as the host club for the Grand Finals Series, with matches to be played across all three pitches at Myers Reserve," concluded ther FFV Comps' Department statement.
Saturday will see the Grand Finals of the Boys U12 and U13 divisions, the Girls' U12s, U14s and U16s competitions, as well as the Women's Division 1 and Division 2 leagues.
Sunday will see the Grand Finals of the Boys' U14s, U15s and U16s competitions and the Men's Div 1, Div 2, Div 3 and Masters' competitions.
