NEWS: Referees sought for upcoming Geelong Girls'Gala event
THE GEELONG Girls Gala Event is a preseason event organised by the Geelong Women’s Football Taskforce, on behalf of the Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC), which is aimed at attracting both new and former female players to the rapidly growing sport in the Geelong region.
This year’s event, to be held on Saturday 17th of March at the Geelong Rangers’ Myers Reserve complex in Bell Post Hill, will encourage clubs, schools and others to participate in a fun, fabulous and friendly competition.
Tournament organisers are looking for expressions of interest from any referees who wish to be part of this tournament and are keen to encourage and support the growth of female soccer in the Geelong region.
The tournament is open to girls in Under 10, 12, 14, 16, &Seniors and will be played in a 7-a-side format using half pitch.
Games will be 15 minutes per half with a 5 minute half time break. There will be no offside rule in any age group.

If you are not an accredited referee you may still submit an expression of interest.
Payment will be $25 per game and $20 for linesmen during the Finals. The number of games will be determined once team registrations have been finalised.
