FFV NOTICE: GRFC Draft Fixtures to be released this coming Friday

PLEASE be advised that FFV Competitions is currently in the process of preparing fixtures for the Geelong season. Initially scheduled to be released yesterday (Tuesday), the revised date for the draft release of Geelong fixtures will now be this Friday 18 March.

Following the release of a Geelong Leagues Structure Update memo sent last Tuesday 8 March, the FFV staff have collated a number of late team requests from clubs.

Late team requests made so far include:

  • Corio SC – new team entry in Men’s Masters
  • Drysdale SC – withdrawal from Men’s Division 2
  • Drysdale SC – withdrawal from Girls’ Under 11
  • Drysdale SC – league change from Boys’ Under 12 Kangaroos to Joeys
  • Surfside Waves SC – new team entry in 13A
  • Elcho Park Cardinals – withdrawal from Women’s Division 1
  • Elcho Park Cardinals – withdrawal from Girls’ Under 14
  • Elcho Park Cardinals – withdrawal from Girls’ Under 11

As a result of these requests we now have the minimum of six teams required for each junior boys division to go ahead – i.e. Boys’ Under 12 Kangaroos & Joeys, and Boys’ Under 13A & 13B are all currently viable.

While this is great news all clubs who may need to make late team changes are urged to do so as soon as possible as this will continue to impact the structures.

If the current league structures in addition to the above changes still do not reflect your actual teams, please fill in the late team request form HERE – one form per request. As per the Geelong Leagues Structure Update memo, the absolute latest date any requests can be considered is Tuesday 26 April.

In the meantime, for any clarification about the above, please write to competitions@ffv.org.au.
