FFV appoints new Geelong Regional Administrator

It is with great pleasure that Football Federation Victoria can announce that it has appointed Tonci Prusac in the position of new Geelong Regional Administrator, effective immediately.

Reporting directly to Foddy Kyprian, the Zone Development Officer for the Wimmera South Coast region, Prusac commenced his role in an official capacity on Monday and will work in a part time capacity (three days per week).

He is currently a well-regarded match day reporter for the FFV, covering the NPL and having recently starting covered the local Victorian scene for MFootball. He is also the founder and editor of the popular local Facebook news page, Geelong Soccer News, which has attracted more than 900 likes and is regarded as one of the most popular online forums covering the wider Geelong football scene.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the FFV staff and contribute directly to the further growth of ‘the beautiful game’ in the wider Geelong region,” Prusac told the FFV Geelong website.

A qualified journalist and personal trainer, Prusac has an exceptional knowledge of the world game, especially the local scene, having been a long time administrator, player, coach and journalist at local GFRC level for more than two decades .

Working closely alongside Foddy Kyprian, he is keen to witness the further increase in overall player numbers in the Geelong area.

“Statistics show that the total number of registered football players – male or female, young or old – has risen an astounding 22% over the past three years in the Greater Geelong region.

“Our aim is to see a further consolidation in the growth of numbers across the board and I look forward to working with all stakeholders of the code locally in achieving that aim,” concluded Tonci Prusac, the newly appointed FFV Regional Administrator for the Greater Geelong region.
