Congratulations to all teams that have qualified for the 2018 Sydney Metro Winter Finals scheduled for this Sunday. See below games schedule and other information for the Finals Series.
Note that games for each grade (boys & girls) will be played simultaneously in both ends of the 50metre pool (25m each). The only exception to this will be for U12s which will be played across the pool as per usual setup.

Pool Entry/Ticketing:
- WPNSW will be operating the door using the online TryBooking system which is a trusted secure platform to manage money. This will enable a smooth entry with a scanning system upon arrival at PLC Aquatic Centre. WPNSW have been using this system at a number of our recent events such as the Sydney Youth Festival.
- Upon purchasing tickets, you will be emailed a confirmation which will include a barcode. This barcode will be scanned at the door by WPNSW Personnel.
- Flat rate of $5.00 for spectators, adults and athletes for the event. Seniors (60+) and children 12 & Under will enter free of charge.
- A small amount of cash transactions will be available at the door, however we really encourage you to pre-purchase with TryBooking to avoid any hassle.
- Please CLICK HERE to pay for pool entry/purchase tickets prior to the event.
Game Durations:
- L12 & M12 will be 4 x 8 minute ‘running time’ quarters (60minutes allocated)
- M14, M16, L14 & L16 will be 4 x 5 minute actual quarters (75 minutes allocated)
- M18 will be 4 x 7 minute actual quarters(75 minutes allocated)
Timeouts:
- 2x time outs per team are permitted in all finals matches to be used at any point in the game.
Penalty Shoot Outs:
- If teams are even at full time in any finals matches (except U12s), there will be a penalty shoot-out to determine result.
- If U12 finals game are drawn at the conclusion of schedule time, joint winners will be awarded.
Scorecard & Table Official:
- WPNSW will supply table officials for the Grand Final games.
- Teams are responsibility to submit scorecards (to scorecards@waterpolonsw.org.au) plus entry of games results and players stats into revSport (Comp Pool database) as per standard rules.
Player Eligibility:
In accordance with usual Competition Rules, it is the responsibility of Clubs to properly manage the eligibility of players for Finals in accordance with the Competition Rules. WPNSW will distribute Player Eligibility Lists to Clubs later today. Any queries in regard to eligibility need to be submitted to WPNSW for clarification no later than midday Friday 17th August.
For reference purposes (Rule 15-7):
To be eligible to play in the final series of a specific age group, a player must have played in four (4) games as an eligible player, in that specific age group and team.
Team Lists
Clubs are requested to populate revSport (Comp Pool database) with team lists no later than 5:00pm Saturday 18th August so that scorecard can be printed prior to games.
