The 2010 Euro Cup match schedule has now been published on The Footy Record.
This years tournament will be very similar in structure to last years tournament in Samobor, Croatia with the involvement of 15 teams and 4 pools (3 Pools with 4 teams, and 1 Pool with 3 teams).
The pools have been created based on the rankings published under the "Participating Countries" tab in conjunction with recent results, strength of the squad attending and final placings in last years tournament.

The winners of each pool will proceed to the Cup semi final round, with the winners of these matches advancing to the Euro Cup Gold Medal Grand Final. The losers of the Cup semi final will advance to the 3rd Place Bronze Medal Final.
Second place in each pool will play off in the Plate section semi finals, with the winners advancing to the Plate Final. Third Place in each pool will go to the Bowl section semi finals, with the winners advancing to the Bowl section Final. Finally, the fourth place teams in each pool will play off for a spot in the 13th place Grand Final. All Plate, Bowl and 13th Place section losing semi finalists will exit the tournament.
The first matches commence at 09:00 sharp on the main field (A) with Tournament co-favourites, Irish Warriors, looking to open their account against a potential dark horse in France. While on second field (B), the Spanish Bulls take on newcomers Switzerland.
All teams are advised to arrive at the venue no later than 45 minutes before their first game. Changing rooms will be available at the end of the main field for each team from 15 minutes prior to their match to the match start. We kindly request all teams to be ready to enter the field 2 minutes before their scheduled match start time.
There will be a 30 minute break scheduled at 14:30 to run the various competitions all on the main field (A):
- Fastest man - an end zone to end zone dash with one representative per nation
- Strongest man - a "last man standing" push-up competition
- Longest kick - one player from each nation gets 2 kicks in an attempt to kick the longest
The historic, first ever full-length international women match between two European nations is set to take place on the main field at 17:00 until 18:30, between the Irish Banshees and the Italian Women's team.
Finally at 19:30, the main event Euro Cup Gold Medal will take place under lights on the main field. By tradition, the Euro Cup Gold medal match is slightly longer at 2 halves of 15 minutes, with the winner being crowned the European Champions for 9-a-side.
The onfield Awards Ceremony will occur directly after the final siren, where trophies and medals for all section winners will be presented.
The Post Tournament buffet banquet and Team Europe awards presentation kicks off at 20:00 until the early hours of the Sunday morning. Headlining the after-party, the ON-OFF band, considered one of Europe's best AC/DC cover bands.
