The Euro Cup is the largest international 9-a-side tournament in the world and the umpires are a vital part of the successful operation of the event.
This years Euro Cup is no different with an expected 50 matches over 3 fields simultaneously for the duration of the day. Each match will require 3 umpires; one field and two goal. Given these challenges, the umpiring requirements are always our greatest challenge and therefore we invite all interested umpires at levels to attend and help us put on a great tournament.
For European based Australian ex-pats, attending and participating as an umpire is a great way to experience and be a part of the tournament.
An umpires workshop will be held on Friday 1st October at 16.00-at 19.00 at the Parabiago Rugby Clubhouse to assist all umpires (field and goal) in preparing for the event, under the direction of Mr. Shane Hill (AFL London Umpires coordinator) and Mr. Paul Magin (Goal umpire coordinator).
All dedicated umpires will receive free entry package (tournament umpires t-shirt, banquet ticket), their umpiring uniform to take home plus assistance towards umpiring and contact with some of the more experienced umpires in Europe.
We kindly ask that all interested persons contact us directly via the information under the "Contact Us" tab.
Better umpires = Better games.
