Parkes & District Amateur Soccer Association Inc. held its Annual General Meeting at the Parkes Bowling and Sports Club on Monday, November 8 after another season was unfortunately cut short.
As Parkes & District Amateur Soccer Association President, Wayne Osborne, reflected on the season and several exciting aspects. The increase in both junior and Open Ladies participants gave the season and enthusiastic start. A few memorable achievements were also documented over the course of season 2021, including the dedication and naming of the Parker-Stone Field, in recognition of the two families widely associated with the sport in Parkes for many years.
With the investment of some $9,000 in the upgrade of the PA system at Harrison Park and Parker-Stone Field, linking the two facilities together for the first time.
President Osborne wanted to thank all involved for their cooperation throughout the season, but highlighted and thanked outgoing committee members Dan Fredericks (Secretary) and Kath Went (Open Ladies Competition Secretary) for their hard work and commitment over the past four years.
