This week the AFL released resources to help support and develop the female Australian football athletes playing in clubs and leagues around the world.
The guidelines have been developed to provide clarity and guidance to community leagues and community clubs in establishing best-practice frameworks for female football.
In doing so, they hope to enhance female player participation safety and experiences while also developing competition structures and female talent pathways.
If you have female football in your region, the AFL encourages you to align, where possible, with these Guidelines.
This resource has been uploaded to afl.com.au/policies.
AFL has also shared a range of "Prep-To-Play" videos available online and targeting training and match-day preparedness for female players of Australian football. These can be accessed via the coach.afl website and can be viewed at coach.afl/female-football.
