Launceston fired out of the blocks to register a comprehensive 78-point victory over Devonport to start the season in style.
The newly-acquired Abbey Holmes made an impression with three goals while Lucy Hamilton and Alicia Cook kicked two of their own.
Hamilton and Katherine Johnson were electric around the ground for Launceston, buoying them to the comfortable victory and an excellent start to the season.
Elsewhere, Evandale was impressive in its 20-point win over East Coast. Evandale controlled the contest and if not for inaccurate kicking, the margin would have been much greater.
After capturing the premiership in the 2014 season, Burnie began 2014 with a solid 11-point victory over Glenorchy.
The Magpies kept things tight for the majority of the contest but the class of the Dockers shone through for the victory.
Jessica Brown led the way for the Dockers with three goals as Ellyse Gamble and Danielle Radford won plenty of the footy.
After going down in the Grand Final last year, Clarence will be looking to start 2015 off positively as they face Evandale at home in the second round.
