MX RACING AT BUNYARRA RACE DAY INFO AND COSTS FOR 2016
MX racing at Young Motorcycle Club is as per the General Competition Rules and Code of Conduct in the current Motorcycling Australia Manual of Motor Sport.Please contact the Committee if you have any questions.
Club Competition
We run club rounds each year with all rounds counting towards the club championship results. Riders are only eligible to be awarded podium positions at the end of the year if they have completed at least 60% of the rounds within a given class. Club Rounds are advertised on our calendar.

Over 35s and Women race together
250cc 2st can be raced in Snr Lites or Snr Opens but not both.
Senior riders can enter a primary class (e.g. Lites, Opens, Women's, or Over 35's) and they can also ride the same bike, or a second bike, in the All Powers race.

Race day format
Sign On and Scrutineering is from 7am until 8.30.
Riders Brief is held at 8.45- 9.00am. All riders are required to attend!
Practice starts at 9.00 am.
All RIDERS entered on the day MUSTsupply a volunteer for marshal duties, lap scoring, canteen or other duties.Racing will not commence until the flag board is full.
Each Class will have 2 laps of practice plus 3 races , The number of laps dependent on the class and race progression throughout the day.
Presentation will take place at the conclusion of every race meeting. Trophies are awarded for all classes at the end of each round .
In 2016 and onwards the Young Motorcycle club will be running the MYLAPS transponder Electronic timing system.
The race score will only be recorded of bikes running a transponder.
You are more than welcome to ride any race day , but be aware you will not be scored or in contention for round or series points.
If you have 1 transponder and are running 2 classes IE Junior lights and 14-15 85 Bw class , it is the sole responsibility of said rider to make sure the transponder in changed from bike to bike prior to race start.
Under no circumstances will points be awarded if the transponder was not changed over!

Exception- The only exception to the above rule is if the transponder becomes dislodged from the bike during the race after the initial lap is recorded or the unit goes flat which is displayed on mylaps race timing screen in Lap score hut.
Please make yourself aware of the above race scoring format and be vigilant if running 1 transponder on 2 separate bikes.
