The Planet Honda/Classic MX WA Pony Express was another successful event for the club; the sunny weather on Sunday was perfect for racing and the course conditions couldn’t have been better, with the recent rains leaving the terrain moist and dust free.

Place getters for the classes run on the day were:
Solo class
1st - James Harrington 23 laps.
2nd - Nathan Lammars 19 laps.
Pre 90 class
1st - Neil Stevens + Nick Maxfield 25 laps.
2nd - Troy Halden + Simon McGlasson 25 laps.
Pre 85 class
1st - Steve Melvin + Lewis White 27 laps.
2nd - Shane Munyard + Dave Hochwald-Jones 17 laps.
There were some spot prizes awarded on the day which included:
Determination award: Nathan Lammars - Walked back to the pits for tools, fixed a stuck front brake and rode on without any front brake.
Biggest effort on the day award: Ian Dawson - Rode an RM125 in the solo class completing 12 laps.
Travelled the furthest distance for the event award: Nick Maxfield – Drove from Bridgetown.
Biggest stuff up award: Simon McGlasson and Troy Halden - dropping the bike at the changeover and giving the spectators a huge giggle.
MacGyver award: Ciaran McDowell and Kristen Wagner - getting the bike sorted after a scrutineering issue so they could keep running.
Most laps completed award: Steve Melvin and Lewis White – 27 laps.
Worst luck award: Rod Ash and Eric Schwenke breaking down 10 minutes before the flag.
