Bluetooth for H4H Challenge

Spectators at the Hoops 4 Health Live Longer Challenge were surprised to be receiving videos on their mobile phones throughout the night. Some comments were " Where did I get this from, who sent it to me and why did I receive this?"

The strategy used by The Council for Aboriginal Alcohol Programs Services and Hoops 4 Health Aboriginal Corporation was to use the new Bluetooth Sending machine to send out images and videos to multiple phones of spectators in the stadium.

Videos of Raphael Clarke, Willy Foster and other health promotion material relating to chronic disease were delivered via Bluetooth to spectators.

"This is an initiative we thought we would use as most youth now have a mobile phone and want the instant feedback and information. We hope to expand the initiatve at the next event and are ready to release a special video message from our Patron and 3 time world champion Anthony Mundine in the near future" - Glenn Warrior, Director of Hoops 4 Health
