Ghana Invited to NBA Africa Development Camp

NBA's African wing NBA Africa has in the recent past been incharge of putting together the preliminary camps towards the main Annual NBA Basketball Without Boarders Camp. This year the camp will return to Johannesburg, South Africa from the 30th August - 2nd September 2012 and hopefully Ghana might just be represented this year.

The Ghana Basketball Association has receive an invitation from the president of NBA Africa Amadou Gallu Fall to participate in a preliminary BWY camp for the West African Region to be held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso by NBA Africa from 7th June through to the 11th June. Ghana is to select three of its young basketball prospects 19years and under to participate in this camp. This will be the first time Ghana has gotten such opportunity to participate in an NBA Development project in Africa.

The GBBA is suppose to be in Burkina Faso by tomorrow with its three young prospects to partake in the preliminary camp. The GBBA has been able to select its three prospect but is currently working on traveling arrangements for the boys who will travel with a representative of the GBBA to Ouagadougou. The Development Coach heading this NBA Africa Development camp is Frank Trore.
