MG PLASTERERS SECBL MEN

Roos 80 (Malok Makoi 23, M Sutton 19, Mony Makoi 14) def Bulldogs Blue 69 (S Berkefeld 23, D Bunnik 15, J Jenner 11)

The Roos continued their winning ways with an 11 point victory over the Bulldogs Blue. The Roos perimeter defence limiting the Bulldogs to zero three point makes made a big difference in the result. Simon Berkefeld worked hard for his 23 points managing to put a number of Roos plays in foul trouble, however the Bulldogs could not keep up with the Roos running game in the end. Malok Makoi continued his good form with 23 points.

Cats 81 (K Bradley 25, J Murphy 24, C Schultz 9) def Panthers 66 (K Rodis 24, K Tipene 12, O Thomson 11)    

The Cats made a big move for a top two finish taking down the top place Panthers in Millicent. Kade Bradley and Josh Murphy used their size on both ends of the court to gain an advantage. Kurt Rodis shot the ball well for the Panthers keeping them in touch, but it was the desperation of the hard working Cats that got them over the line.

Bulldogs Red 97 (M Black 33, J Berry 26, M Hirlam 16) def Cougars 74 (T de Wit 32, B Male 22, D Kuring 12)   

An exciting match up of two of exciting young scorers in Matt Black and Toby de Wit took place in this contest. Neither player disappointed both scoring over 30 points for their sides. A surprise cameo from young Cougar Bradley Male who had 22 points on four three pointers gave the Cougars some hope. Every run the Cougars made however was stifled by Matt Black and Josh Berry.

 

MG PLASTERERS SECBL WOMEN

Saints 57 (J Howe 23, O Fuller 20, L Schultz 10) def Panthers 40 (T Bryant 7, N Facey 7, J Jones 7, A Loughhead 7)

The Saints behind the return of Jasmin Howe bounced back from last weeks loss to defeat the Panthers. The Saints controlled the game with Jasmin Howe and Olivia Fuller the main contributors. The youngsters from for the Panthers work hard, however could not score the ball with any consistency to really challenge the Saints in this contest.

Cougars 63 (S Ritter 35, T Gray 16, M Horrigan 5) def Bulldogs Roos 44 (C Hunter 16, O Wormald 8, K Collins 6)

The Cougars found some form this week after some tight battles, it was young gun Sarah Ritter who could not be stopped on her way to 35 points. The Cougars used their size of Keryl Ousey and Sarah Ritter to expose the smaller Bulldogs/Roos size. Claire Hunter had five three pointers on her way to 16 points, however no other Bulldogs/Roos scored in double figures.
