Basketball Development Officer

Part time

The role is responsible for the organisation and coordination of the basketball competitions and programs, along with providing assistance with the management of the Association. The role is predominantly focussed on the development of junior players and coaches within Basketball Mount Gambier.

The position is Monday to Friday with some weekend work to support tournaments and trainings. However, hours and days are negotiable. The annual salary package will be commensurate according to qualifications and experience, along with any out-of-pocket expenses relating to vehicle and mobile phone usage.

The preferred applicant will need to have:

üExperience in the area of Sports Management, Level 2 National Coaching Accreditation (or equivalent experience), FIBA Accreditation or strong history of coaching experience;

üNeed to have the ability to implement and conduct basketball development programs;

üHigh level of communication skills;

üExcellent administrative and computer skills;

üA high attention to detail; and

üStrong interpersonal skills.
