MG Plasterers announced as South East Coast Basketball League’s major partner

The South East Coast Basketball League is delighted to unveil a new partnership with MG Plasterers, our new naming rights partner for Limestone Coast region’s premier basketball competition.

The two-year agreement will see MG Plasterers become the naming rights partner for both men’s and women’s Championship Basketball beginning with the 2019 Winter Season and will also see them appointed as the official partner of Basketball Mount Gambier’s Referee Development Program.

The move to appoint a naming rights sponsor across both men’s and women’s senior competitions is part of Basketball Mount Gambier’s renewed focus on building corporate sponsorship relationships.

“We re pleased to welcome MG Plasterers on board as a partner of the South East Coast Basketball League as we head into what we expect to be an exciting time for basketball development in the region,” said Basketball Mount Gambier Development Officer Matt Sutton.

“MG Plasterers is a well-known local company, with close associations to sports and community across the region. We are looking forward to working with them over the course of the next two years to further promote basketball – one of Australia’s highest participation sports.

“This announcement also demonstrates Basketball Mount Gambier’s commitment to enhancing facilities to support the sport’s long-term health and reinforces the value of sponsorship in basketball.”

Matt Patzel, of MG Plasterers, who joined the announcement at the Bern Bruning Stadium, said:

“This significant sponsorship announcement sees MG Plasterers continue our contributions to our community through sport. Our company has, and continues to support, a range of sports clubs and groups. MG Plasterers understands the value of sport to our communities and the social, physical and community benefits that come from participation in sport.”

The South East Coast Basketball League involves teams from Millicent and Mount Gambier, and features current and former Pioneers players. Women’s and Men’s matches are played on Wednesday nights at the Bern Bruning Basketball Stadium (Mount Gambier) and Millicent Basketball Stadium.

MG Plasterers provided a major contribution to the recent refurbishment of the Bern Bruning Stadium entrance foyer and were previously involved with the refurbishment of the stadium’s Beth Serle Function Room.
