SA Defence Basketball (SADB) played Exhibition Game vs SA Country Basketball on 26 Feb 11 at Brett Maher Court.

This game has become an SADB tradition, first played in Minlaton on Yorke Peninsula in 2008 and held annually since. The game is an important component in the training camp program for SA Country's preparations towards their Australian National Championships and kicks off the SADB annual calendar.

Tragiclaly a week earlier Sapper Jamie Larcombe, lost his life during operations serving in Aghanistan on 19 Feb 11. Sapper Larcombe was from the Darwin based 1st Combat Engineer Regiment (1CER), and was serving with the Mentoring Task Force-2 in Afghanistan. A silence was observed pre-game by SA Country and SADB recognising Sapper Larcombe as a country sportsman and basketballer from Kangaroo Island and a soldier known to SADB members.
