2021 SPALDING WARATAH SENIOR LEAGUE | DRAW ANNOUNCED

Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the 2021 Spalding Waratah Senior League draws with the next generation of NSW basketball talent poised to take the court across the six divisions.

Following the 2020 season being postponed after the first few rounds had already been played and then a condensed restart, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles took out the Waratah 1 Men’s title and the Norths Bears walked away with the Waratah 1 Women’s banner after battling it out at Sutherland Basketball stadium.

There will be a total of 83 teams returning to the League, which are spread across the Waratah 1 Men & Women, Waratah 1 Youth Men & Women, Waratah 2 Men and the Waratah 2 Youth Men competitions.

There will be 19 rounds played, commencing on April 10th, with finals being held on September 4th & 5th. A venue is to be advised for finals.

Senior Manager Competitions, Chanelle Bailey said after an unprecedented 2020, she is looking forward to having a quality tournament that will showcase the best that NSW has to offer.

“We are looking forward to what will be an exciting 2021 season culminating with our finals weekend in September and watching the continued growth of all of our associations and players over the coming five months.”

“We will continue to stay flexible and be guided by the relevant state health officials but we are very hopeful this season we can get back to some further normality as much as possible so fans can fill the stadiums to cheer their team on in their pursuit of finals glory.”
