The first 10am match sees Newtown visiting Sydney University at St Paul's Oval. With both teams undefeated so far, it looks like an intriguing battle. In the preseason match the Baby Bombers dealt the Breakaways a footy lesson but not all the experienced players of Newtown were playing so how much an indicator of progress is unclear. A great game to watch.
The Head to Head record has Newtown on 17 wins and Sydney Uni on 4 wins between these two sides.
Also at 10am at pictursque Drummoyne Oval sees the Balmain Dockers hosting the Bondi Shamrocks. The Dockers are currently undefeated whilst the ever-improving Bondi Shamrocks gave the premiers a scare last week losing by only 8 points. With both sides playing free-flowing footy we expect an attractive game with lots of running up and down the flanks.
The Head to Head record has yet to be recorded.
Two O'Clock sees the big match between UNSW-Easts Stingrays visting Olds Park to play the St George Dragons. Last year in one of the biggest upsets the Stingrays beat the then-Crows to record their first victory in two years. Both sides are sure to be fired up for this game with memories of that game still a lasting impression for all concerned.
The Head to Head record has St. George on 4 wins and UNSW-Easts on 1 win.
At 5pm the demonstration match sees Wests hosting Macquarie Uni under lights at Picken Oval. Both sides have to match up with the baby Wolves expected to play most of the game and the experienced players playing a support role.
