Due to some unforeseen circumstances we have a vacancy on the WDBC Board under the port folio of Juniors.

We are in urgent need of not only filling this position but also putting together a Junior Committee to assist with the running of the junior division of the club.

The junior division is a massive part of our club and feeds directly into the success of our senior teams. We as a board do not under estimate the need to get this right as we move forward.

If you feel you either have the skills to assist we would love to hear from you. We envisage that the junior committee would meet monthly or bi monthly.

The roles we are looking at filling are


Junior Chairperson
Board Member – attend board meetings
Report back to the board
Co-ordinate all Junior activities
Attend to any questions in relation to Junior Operations

Junior Secretary
Minutes/Agenda for Junior Meetings
Oversee Junior admin
Including Junior email box
Junior player Registrar
Ensure all players are registered in sporting pulse
Allocating Playing Numbers where required

Junior Coaches Registrar
Ensure all coaches are registered and accredited

Junior Competition and Training Co- Ordinator
Ensure all Team List are completed with coaches, managers and players contacts
Ensure all teams have managers
Communicate any game changes
Co-ordinate Training venues

Junior Championship and Tournament Co-Ordinator
Ensure all teams are notified of tournaments
Assist with travel and accommodation requirements
Nominate teams

Junior Communications
Communicate Vital Information to teams
Communicate and issues back to club secretary
Look for points of interest for facebook, website and newsletter from a Junior perspective

Assist with the organisation and rostering of any fundraising events
Work with managers on any fundraising ideas

Managers Representative

Ensure all teams have managers in place
Communicate with Manager
Ensure all managers have relevant equipment

The club is also in the process of appointing 2 Junior Development officers and they will also sit on t he Junior Committee


Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

To assist us in raising funds so that our Junior players receive the best possible advantages in coaches and opportunities we are planning on doing BBQs at St Clair on Tuesday, Friday after school competitions and Sunday morning breakfasts. We are looking at volunteers to assist with the running of these events.

We are a volunteer community run club and as such we need everyone to assist us on achieving our goal of providing a superior experience for our players and their families both on the court and off. You may feel you don’t have the required skills to be part of the junior committee but there are many jobs we can get you to do.

Don’t forget any of these jobs work towards your volunteer levy. A position on the Junior committee will pay the volunteer levy immediately and assistance with the BBQ will go towards your 10 hours required to pay the volunteer levy off.
