WDBC Summer Season 2016-17 Squad Announcements FOR U16’s and U18’s.
We will be running a repeat Trials session for these teams, for the Girls and the Boys with dates and times to be released soon.
The following team squads contain the details of the current players that have completed their ‘intent to play’ forms either on one of the August Trial Days, or have sent in to the club as per previous communications sent out to all current WDBC members. This information is crucial for both registration with Basketball SA and also so we can communicate openly and effectively with all of our members. We apologise if anyone has been missed, and will resurrect the issue as soon as possible – please see below for steps to fix.
Our coaches are still working through the team lists and because we are still being inundated with ‘intent to play’ information from current members, we have been unable to narrow down the team selections.
Please take the time to check your details are there, and if not follow the prompts below to ensure you don’t miss out. On the contrary if your name is here and you aren’t playing next season, if you could also let us know via email address below that would also be appreciated.
We would also like to reiterate at this time, that Trials are not the only days that player review/selections take place (as per previous email/communication), and that these selections remain subject to change throughout the year, in between seasons, and will continue to be under review throughout trainings and the lead up to the October Summer Season (due to commence October 21st 2016). A lot of careful consideration is taken to ensure equity in the process and that players are placed appropriately, and it is important to give all of our coaches ample opportunity to make these decisions. We also have a number of new experienced coaches starting with us this year that were still committed to other coaching roles when our trials took place, and therefore will need more time in making these decisions. We appreciate your understanding and patience with this.
Please see the attached ‘intent to play form’ and if you haven’t completed it, please do so and email to Registertoplay@woodvillewarriors.com.au or juniors@woodvillewarriors.com.au so we can update and include you in our team selections and ongoing communications.
We are still being inundated with this information at the moment and continue with ongoing enquiries from current and new members and appreciate your patience as we work through this all. We will update this again as soon as we get the remaining information from our current membership and as our coaches finalise squads/team selections.
